The Institute

The Institute exists to preserve the conditions under which the Practice may proceed without interference. Its authority extends only so far as the Practice requires.

Correspondence

Routine physical and electronic correspondence has been suspended. Matters requiring continued explanation seldom improve by prolonged exchange. The resulting disturbance has repeatedly exceeded its practical benefit.

Discontinued

Telephone & Facsimile

Immediate consultation by telephone, mobile telephone, or facsimile is not maintained. Speech possesses an unfortunate tendency to outrun understanding, while urgency is too readily mistaken for importance. Matters which cannot survive the delay required for their proper consideration are seldom improved by immediate access.

Discontinued

Physical Offices

Public offices are neither maintained nor disclosed. The Practice has observed that a known destination gradually becomes a place of arrival rather than consideration. Unannounced attendance, personal delivery, and other attempts to establish physical proximity have therefore been deprived of any useful administrative purpose.

The Available Means

Certain modes of communication have, over time, proven incompatible with the Practice. Their omission should therefore not be mistaken for neglect.

Those undeterred may proceed by Petition.

The Petition for Consideration

Those Applications found worthy shall be laid before the Master.
